The Business and Law exam can stand alone for those specialty licenses that only require this exam to be taken. Only 3 designated specialties may be listed for a Specialty Contractor license.
The Business and Law exam is required for all major classifications in addition to the specific trade exam.

There is not any continuing education required for this license at this time.

- The business law exam is an open book timed test with 50 questions and a 3-hour time limit.
- A score of 70% is required to pass the exam.
- The exam fee is $51.95
