Kentucky Business & Law for Electrical Contractor

The Business Law exam is required in order to obtain the Electrical Contractors license. Every Electrical Contractor is required to employ a Master Electrician. So, if you are a self-employed Electrical Contractor without additional employees, you must also pass the Master Electrician exam.

Kentucky does not have a standing reciprocity agreement with any states fat this time.
Kentucky does not require continuing education for the Business Law exam
The testing company is ICC. It is an open-book, timed test with 30 questions and a 1.5 –hour time limit. A specific grade will not be given on the exam, only a pass or fail statement.  

Exam topics include: Business Structure Practices and Licensing, Estimating and Bidding, Contracts and Acceptance, Project Management and Planning, Financing and Record Keeping, Insurance and Bonding, Labor Law and Personnel Policies ,Tax, Lien Law, and Dispute Resolution, Safety and OSHA Compliance
