Contractors License Overview

  • Building contractors in Delaware must register with the Delaware Dept. of Revenue. No testing is required.
  • Plumbers, electricians, and HVAC workers must be licensed by the Delaware Division of Professional Licensing.
  • A trade exam must be passed to obtain a plumbing, electrical, or HVACR license. A license application must be submitted and approved before the exam can be taken.
