Texas HVAC Contractors Guide to Solar Energy and Green Building online Continuing Education for HVAC Contractors.
This 4-hr. course is intended to provide a basic introduction to solar energy and solar-designed homes, including details of the solar systems being used to achieve reduced dependence on utility power for heating and cooling. Attendee will be learning about sustainable designs and some of the reasons why it is important for the building industry to accelerate their use of sustainable designs in the 15 million new buildings they are projected to build by 2015.
This course also introduces the student to green building concepts and practices implemented in building projects from initial site selection through design and construction, equipment selection and sizing, and waste management.
This course should be taken with the Texas HVAC Law and Financial Survival course to complete the 8-hr requirement for HVAC license renewal.
